PARENT UPDATE PAGE...

ORGANIZATION FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

This year's campaign is a combined selling effort of the following products (Click on the link below and download a product brochure and order form) Help support South Gate Aztecs and our student-athletes! Send us a TEXT (323) 547-3154 or and EMAIL if you would like to place an order:

  1. POPCORNOPOLIS, a gourmet popcorn presented in a variety of flavors!

  2. MRS. FIELD COOKIE DOUGH & CHEESECAKES!

...these are the top selling products that most people cannot pass up on. It should take little to no effort to reach your required sales quota (noted below). 

Funds raised will go to help pay for maintenance of our fields, referees, insurance & the football & cheer training & equipment budget.
  We try to keep league fees low so everyone can play. However fundraising is a necessity to make this happen.  We need every family to do their fair share. Please see below what are “mandatory sales” per family, those with more than one child in our program REQUIRED FUNDRAISING FLYER:

One participant- $250.00 in total sales
Two participants- $375.00 in total sales
Three or more- $500.00 in total sales






PARENT INFORMATION PACKET
Attached please find the Parent Packet of information for all players and cheerleaders. Inside you will find the following documents, flyers and other important handouts. Packets were handed out to parents at our recent KICK-OFF BREAKFAST at South Gate Park on Saturday-July 24, 2021. 


  1. IMPORTANT CALENDAR OF PLAYER/CHEERLEADER DATES (July 2021-January 2022). 
  2. Basic FOOTBALL TEAM RULES or CHEER TEAM RULES for the South Gate Aztecs Youth Football & Cheerleading Organization, 2021. The last page of these documents is a signature page to be signed by the legal parent/guardian of a registered player or cheerleader in the 2021 season. This signature page must be return to the Football Team Manager or Cheer Head Coach. 
  3. OCJAAF ADULT CODE OF CONDUCT, the signature page must be returned to your Football Team Manager or Head Cheer Coach. 
  4. CALIFORNIA STATE LEGISLATUIRE-ASSEMBLY BILL NO. 1 (AB-1): CALIFORNIA YOUTH FOOTBALL ACT, The SOUTH GATE YOUTH FOOTBALL, INC DECLARATION PAGE, and notice to parents our acknowledgement and compliance to the rules of youth football governed by the state of California, as it is written and approved July 31, 2019. In addition to the OPIOID FACT SHEET a required document in which we are responsible to provide all parents and volunteers in our programs. 
  5. Our SCHOLASTIC REPORTING LETTER used to track the progress of our student-athletes while in school during our season. This letter is in place of a progress report/report card beginning the new school year (Aug-2021). We will collect three (3) of these reports, which you will sign before providing them to your child's teacher, one (1) Scholastic Letter is due Sept-01, Oct-01 and Nov-01. ur Scholastic Director, John Aston, will be rewarding student-athletes for academic achievement at our once a month Scholastic Recignition Ceremonies at the conclusion of our practices, they are scheduled in the attached Player/Cheerleader Calendar of Important Dates. 
  6. PARENT AZTEC SPIRIT FLYER & ORDER FORM...Show your AZTEC PRIDE! We offer a variety of spirit wear with our new SG logo, additional spirit wear may be added in the near future. Please remember, no one has authority to duplicate any spirit wear items, our name, colors or logos. 
  7. SPECIAL EVENTS & ORGANIZATION FUNDRAISING is a requirement of participation. Special events include the Kick-Off Breakfast (players/cheerleaders will sell a minimum number of breakfast tickets), and the Homecoming Event (players/cheerleaders will sell raffle tickets and more if they want a chance to earn the title of "Homecoming King & Queen" for their team, this is a coveted award to the player and cheerleader of each team who sells the most in raffle tickets. The raffle ticket sells for $2 each, every player/cheerleader must sell a minimum of $30 as a requirement, anyone selling more than $75 worth of raffle tickets could get the crown at a ceremony during the halftime of each game at the Homecoming field. The raffle prizes: 45" Smart TV and a portable sound system. 
  8. PICTURE DAY is scheduled for Sunday, Oct-03. Location will be announced, teams are scheduled times, please see the attached flyer. 
  9. HOMECOMING 2021...Is a celebrated event in our program as we do so in recognition of Dia de los Muertos! Each of our teams will be participating in a "team fundraising" food booth all day during the homecoming event. We hope to encourage our parents to come out and support your team. Funds raised will be used towards gifts and other recognition at the Awards Banquet to be held in January, 2022.
