SOUTH GATE JOINS AAU....

CHANGE IS INEVTABLE!
We are proud to announce our new move to the Southern California East Youth Football Conference of AAU in 2024!

We are so happy to move our program to SCEYFL-AAU this new season which will provide us the best opportunity of returning to community-based youth football & cheer operations and remain in our belief and support of this same goal....
"The primary focus of the SCEYFL-AAU Conference has always been on the development of the individual players. We feel as our individual members improve, so will our teams. During competition, our focus is more on the improvement of our members and teams, rather than on the wins and losses. Sometimes this can be a difficult concept to grasp within a competitive Conference, but we believe that by challenging our members and teams to compete at all times at the highest levels of their capability that, win or lose, through competition comes the greatest development.  ATTENTION PARENTS - VERY IMPORTANT!
All Football/Cheerleader participants will be required to provide proof of age only through the following documents to compete in the 2024 season with AAU...BIRTH CERTIFICATES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE...

  1. STATE IDENTIFICATION CARD (Real ID)
  2. VALID PASSPORT OR PASSPORT CARD
  3. MILITARY ID CARD
  4. CERTIFICATION OF NATURALIZATION
  5. FOSTER CARE VERIFICATION PAPERWORK
AAU: Our Conference has identified cases where parents have falsified their child's birth certificate so the kid can play in an older age group or a younger age team. Due to identified falsification in the past, Parents are now required to get a State ID Card for their child before joining the Conference. Unfortunately having a birth certificate to prove the child's age is no longer enough. Adult integrity has been lost by some which demands we evolve and make adjustments.
